Where can I find a lock to keep my toddler out of the fridge?

I have been able to find ones that are put on with adhesive, but we already tried a oven lock that was like that and he broke it the first day. I am looking for one that can be screwed directly into the outside of the fridge. Thanks.

Just be careful screwing anything into the actual metal of the fridge. I THINK some of them may have a vacuum seal in the door or sides (like a thermos) that helps keep things cold longer and screwing a hole in it will break the seal. Maybe you could find one with a stronger adhesive or try another way to attach it (welding?)

I agree to aggie_87,try the adhesive type you don’t want to puncture the vacuum seal in the fridge

Have you tried to look at babies r us. They would be the first place I would go. Check out web sites of stores around you that way you can see if they have them without wasting your gas and your saving time.

I haven’t been able to find one for the refrigerator or the dishwasher that works yet. I’ve resorted to gating off the entire kitchen!

I know you said you wanted something that screwed, but instead of messing up your fridge…..we use a cabinet lock (its in the shape of a U with a lock you can tighten it with. But this would only work with a side by side fridge, but it works great!

you shouldn’t be screwing stuff into the fridge. It can damage it quite badly

I actually used the adhesive kind from WalMart and it stayed on for 2 years, until my son finally learned how it worked. Even after it wasn’t being used I still couldn’t get the bloody thing off lol.

I purchased locks for my fridge in Babies R Us. They are applied with adhesive, and yes, they did not work at first. My husband put an extra piece of thick, super-strong, double sided tape on each, and now the fridge doors won’t budge unless you release the latches on top of the fridge. They work great!!!

These are the ones I got:
